Registered Nurse - Post-Surgical Unit

Location: Dallas, TX

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM

Job Description: The ideal candidate will work in a dynamic post-surgical unit that specializes in orthopedic care. The unit experiences a high patient volume, particularly mid-week, and requires a dedicated RN who can meet staffing needs without excessive requests for time off. Candidates must be able to manage a busy environment while providing quality care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to post-surgical orthopedic patients.
• Monitor vital signs and manage PCA pumps and IV medications.
• Assist with patient assessments, care plans, and post-operative care.
• Collaborate with ancillary support staff to maintain efficient patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current RN license in the state of Texas.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Preferred experience in orthopedics and PCU.
