Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location Martinsville, VA

Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule Shift: 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM (open to 48 hours guaranteed)

Job Description We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care to individuals of all ages experiencing medical emergencies. This role requires a strong ability to work collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities Deliver patient care in accordance with established standards and protocols. Assessment of patients and execution of emergency care plans. Manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a critical care setting. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes. Continuously monitor patients and respond to their needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Current RN license in Virginia. ACLS, BLS, CPI/Handle with Care, NIH Stroke, PALS or ENPC certifications required. 1-2 years of experience in an emergency room setting preferred. Understanding of common diagnoses and treatments including chest pain, CHF, COPD, and psychiatric conditions.
