Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) and Postpartum Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Salem, Massachusetts. This role involves rotating shifts between day, evening, and night hours in a Labor & Delivery/Postpartum unit. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day and have a minimum of three years of relevant experience, including skills in labor and delivery, postpartum, circulating, and newborn care. The position demands flexibility across various shifts within a 12-hour schedule, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

• Location: Salem, Massachusetts
• Schedule: Rotate between 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, 11:00 am to 11:30 pm, and 7:00 pm to 7:30 am with every other week (EOW) rotation.
• Required Qualifications: Current Massachusetts RN License; BLS, NRP, and EFM certifications valid every two years for L&D; minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in labor and delivery, postpartum, circulating, and newborn care.
• Preferred Qualifications: AHA ACLS certification (preferred).
• Additional Information: A 25-bed Labor & Delivery unit with 5 L&D rooms, 12 postpartum beds, 2 operating rooms, 2 recovery rooms, and 2 antepartum rooms. The unit handles an average daily census of 15-25 mothers and babies, utilizing the EPIC EMR system. Floating is not required. Clinical responsibilities include supporting active labor with magnesium IV therapy or epidural, and postpartum care with a patient ratio of 1:2-3 evaluations and 1:1 active labor.
