Veterinary Technician

Position Overview Veterinary Technician – full‑time at Okatie Veterinary Center and Hilton Head Veterinary Clinic, AmeriVet Veterinary Partners. Compensation & Schedule Salary: $19–$25 per hour, based on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location. Schedule: Full‑time, 4‑10‑hour shifts, Monday–Saturday. Willingness to work at both hospital locations. Locations: 200 Okatie Village Dr, Okatie, SC 29909; 109 Mathews Dr, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926. Who You Are 3+ years veterinary clinical experience; veterinary tech or assistant. Degree from an AVMA‑accredited Veterinary Technology or Certified Veterinary Assistant program preferred. Knowledge of industry tools and equipment. Passion for working with cats, dogs and their owners. Experience with proper animal handling and restraint. Ability to perform nursing care in a hospital setting. Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare. Basic understanding of common medications, vaccinations, and preventatives. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Skilled in IV catheter placement and blood draws. Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience preferred. Laboratory skills: running in‑house lab machines, microscope use, sample prep. Diagnostic experience including digital radiology.
