Quality Assurance Specialist

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration toassurethe quality of assigned product orcomponent. Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records. Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes. Reviews allpurchasedproducts or components and provides input to the decision of whether to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor. Documentsdata obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures. Developsnew approachesto solve problemsidentifiedduring quality assurance activities. Communicates significant issues or developmentsidentifiedduring quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management. Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities. Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management. Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or two plusyears related experience and/or training. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to apply commonsenseunderstanding to carry out instructionsfurnishedin written, oral, or diagram form.Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word or similar.Word Processing software,Microsoft Excel or similar Spreadsheet software,and Manufacturing software.
