Responsibilities Work with students with developmental, intellectual, or behavioral disabilities in a school or structured setting. Support life skills instruction, including personal care, hygiene, communication, community access, and functional academics. Collaborate with special education teachers, therapists, and families. Demonstrate patience, empathy, and flexibility when working with students who have diverse and complex needs. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school and district policies. Enter and manage data using basic technology skills and assistive technology. Prevent and intervene in crises, with CPI or Safety Care training preferred or willingness to be trained. Qualifications Certification as an Educational Technician I, II, or III (as required by the position and state guidelines). Experience working with students with developmental, intellectual, or behavioral disabilities in a school or structured setting. Knowledge of life skills instruction, including personal care, hygiene, communication, community access, and functional academics. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Patience, empathy, and flexibility. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school and district policies. Basic technology skills for data entry and use of assistive technology.
