Journeyman Line Repairman
O-I is seeking a Journeyman Line Repairman for a full-time position in Toano. This role offers above average compensation and excellent benefits. The company fosters an inclusive atmosphere with opportunity for growth and advancement. Toano, VA is close to major Historic Triangle attractions.
The Journeyman Line Repairman will machine, repair and safely clean the various maintenance parts for current and future production. They will ensure the modifications and repairs carried out comply with the measures specified in the plans and diagrams of each of the repaired parts.
The Journeyman Line Repairman will:
- Inspect machines and bottle handling equipment
- Rebuild, repair, recondition and install all machine parts
The Journeyman Line Repairman should have:
- Experience troubleshooting and performing machine repairs
- Experience with precision measuring devices, such as calipers, micrometers and digital gauges
- Experience using hand tools, such as ratchets, wrenches, screwdrivers and drill press
Qualifications:
- Must be able to work an 8-hour rotating schedule (rotating between 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts days off rotate as well)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Journeyman cardholder (Mechanical)
- At least 5 years maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment
- Must have basic PC literacy (Word, Outlook, basic data entry)
- Bench repair and welding experience is a plus
