Locum - Physician - OB Hospitalist Houston, TX

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate OB Hospitalist to fill a locum position in Houston, TX. This role is essential in delivering high-quality obstetric care, managing labor and delivery, and collaborating with hospital staff to ensure the safety and well-being of mothers and infants. Required Skills

Active Medical License in Texas or ability to obtain one quickly
Board-certified or eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-GYN)
Proven experience in labor and delivery management
Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations effectively

Nice to Have Skills

Bilingual skills or multilingual capabilities
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Previous locum or temporary physician experience
Knowledge of hospital protocols and processes in a trauma or high-acuity setting

Preferred Education and Experience

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Minimum of 2 years of OB hospitalist experience or similar clinical setting
Current ACLS, ATLS, and NRP certifications
Current Board Certification in OB-GYN or eligibility

Other Requirements

Must be able to commit to the specified start date of 12/31/2025
Willingness to travel to Houston, TX, and adapt to hospital-specific procedures
Must complete all required credentialing and compliance documentation
BLS certification and hospital-specific credentialing as required
