Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly. Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently using the POS system. Handle various tenders such as Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures per company policy. Adhere to company limits on cash shortages and overages, working honestly to control loss. Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs). Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator. Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons. Stay current with ads and promotions. Follow food safety regulations and guidelines. Participate in safety programs, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management. Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed. Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products. Comply with all applicable laws and company policies. Work effectively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment. Manage conflicts professionally and cooperatively. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed. Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
