Details Medical Surgical unit caring for adult and geriatric patients Night shift schedule with every-other-weekend requirement Patient ratio of 1:6 Floating required with possible charge duties as needed Option for 3x12 or 4x12 schedules Charting system experience required (any system accepted) Requirements Active AL or compact RN license required Current BLS certification via AHA required Fit test required NIHSS certification preferred Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience required Level II Trauma experience preferred Skills in IV starts, isolation precautions, and wound care/wound vac required Experience with peripheral line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration preferred Experience with colostomy/ileostomy care and feeding tube management preferred Experience administering Heparin, Insulin, and PCA medications preferred Experience with surgical drains, nasal cannula, and oxygen administration preferred Paragon charting system experience preferred Previous charge experience preferred Additional Information Provide direct patient care including IV therapy, wound care, and isolation precautions for adult and geriatric Med/Surg patients 30-minute lunch breaks required with no skipped meals May occasionally be required to serve in a charge nurse role First-time travelers are not considered; prior travel experience preferred Candidates must reside within 60 miles to be considered local Requested time off limited to a maximum of 7 days Prior permanent employees of the facility are not eligible for this travel assignment American Traveler Job ID P-771661.
