Registered Nurse (RN) NICU

Job Details Job Type: Part-Time | 0.6 FTE or 48 hours per pay period Schedule: 4 x 12-hour day shifts (7 a.m.–7 p.m.), rotating weekends and holidays About the NICU RN Position We are looking for a dedicated NICU RN to join the 22-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at UP Health System - Marquette, the region's only neonatal intensive care unit specializing in the care of ill or premature newborn infants. Our NICU offers advanced technology and a team of trained professionals to provide specialized nursing care, including for infants who are not as sick as others but still require dedicated support, and to provide neonatal transport for the entire Upper Peninsula. Responsibilities Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments. Document patient care provided. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family. Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual and psychosocial support. Evaluate patient and family learning needs; provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients. Qualifications Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).
