Accounting Associate

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Associate to join a fast-paced finance team. In this role, you will provide accurate and timely financial and administrative support to ensure efficient and effective financial operations. What You Will Do Accurately record accounts payable transactions across multiple entities using accounting systems, ensuring timely and organized data entry. Record and report daily cash receipts and prepare bank reconciliations. Prepare and process accounts payable checks and electronic payments, including use of banking platforms for payment verification and transaction research. Assist in maintaining the general ledger by reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries, and ensuring proper allocation of expenses and revenues. Monitor, investigate, and resolve discrepancies or errors in financial records. Track and manage expenses by verifying invoices, reconciling statements, and ensuring proper coding and approvals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and support budgeting and forecasting processes. Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and providing explanations as needed. Assist with financial analysis, including variance and cost analysis, and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost efficiency. Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial information. What You Will Bring Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Professional demeanor and ability to collaborate within a team environment. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus. 2-3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience. Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and general ledger processes.
