Outside Sales Representative — Chicago (Franklin Park / NW Suburbs) — Competitive Salary + Uncapped Commission

I'm recruiting confidentially for a well-established, privately-held, asset-based logistics and transportation provider with a genuine nationwide network behind its reps — this isn't a brokerage desk, you'd be selling with real trucks and infrastructure supporting you.

I've already placed people directly into this exact sales team, and they're thriving and growing their books since joining. I know this client well and can put you in touch with people already living the role.

The role:

• Location: Chicago, with priority on Franklin Park and the NW suburbs. Indiana and Wisconsin territories also considered.
• Compensation: base up to $100K, flexible and negotiable for candidates with a strong existing book of business, plus commission on freight revenue and gross profit.
• Field-based outside sales covering LTL, truckload and brokerage, expedited freight, warehousing, and intermodal.
• Direct access to senior leadership throughout the hiring process, not a black-box hiring pipeline.

Who they're looking for:

• Outside or field sales background in LTL or truckload freight.
• A genuine hunter mentality — comfortable prospecting and building a book from scratch, not just managing an inherited desk.
• Based in or willing to work the Chicago market, or open to Indiana or Wisconsin.
• Patient enough to build a portfolio the right way, motivated enough to want to be paid well for doing it.
