Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
• BLS Certification from American Heart Association (required)
• ACLS Certification from American Heart Association (required)
• Current knowledge and skills appropriate to age and type of patient population served
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and establish care priorities based on patient symptoms, age, and psychosocial needs
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care in accordance with nursing standards
• Perform systematic patient reassessments to monitor progress and identify interventions needed
• Coordinate team assignments and delegate tasks appropriately to ensure quality patient care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, physicians, and families to optimize patient outcomes
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning activities
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities
