We’re looking for an enthusiastic food prep worker who can deliver outstanding results in the kitchen prepping meals for our chef/cook. Your main responsibilities will be to stock, prepare and measure condiments and slice and dice foods. You’ll keep your workstation and equipment clean and follow all required safety protocols. Good organization skills, the ability to take directions well, and to read recipe instructions and labels in English, as well as handle a variety of kitchen equipment, sharp knives, and measuring tools are required. Some experience and an associate's degree are preferred but not required.

$18 - $20 hourly

• Perform other basic cooking duties as necessary, such as brewing coffee or tea, preparing soups, reducing sauces, and assisting other cooks in the kitchen if needed
• Wash, sort, prep, slice, and measure ingredients for recipes, using condiments, vegetables, and proteins, and mixing sauces for use in various meals
• Follow instructions for recipes. Read meal charts and labels in English and use the measuring tools correctly
• Abide by food safety guidelines and implement COVID-19 safety measures in all food prep areas and stations where food is prepared and kitchen equipment is used
• Maintain a clean, organized prep area and workstation at all times, and sanitize equipment after each shift or when we close

• Basic familiarity with operating kitchen equipment
• You should possess the basic knowledge of food preparation and perform these duties with minimal supervision from the head cook or chef
• Read and comprehend recipes, labels, and meal charts written in English
• Available to work weekends and holidays, pitching in extra hours whenever needed
• We’d prefer it if you have an associate's degree (AA), or equivalent, but it’s not required for the job
