Legal Assistant / Paralegal

The Firm is seeking a Legal Assistant to provide administrative and legal support to multiple attorneys in our Nashville, Tennessee office. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Successful candidates must have 3 years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal. Experience working in medical malpractice is preferred but not required. Responsibilities Liaise and communicate between internal and external third parties Gather, organize, and maintain relevant information from sources through subpoenas or written requests (ex: medical records, employment records, etc.) and ensure proper indexing and filing of documents in files and case management software Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents as requested by supervising attorney(s) Perform administrative duties for supervising attorney(s), such as scheduling calendar hearings and deadlines, opening/organizing/closing case files, reviewing, scanning, and emailing the daily mail Compile information for potential lay and expert witnesses, involving trial preparation, trial exhibits, coordination of witnesses, preparation meetings, and conduct jury panel research as needed Record, either periodically or regularly, billable time (as appropriate) Other duties may be assigned by supervisor(s) Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in the legal assistant or paralegal field Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to multi-task while prioritizing workload #J-18808-Ljbffr Socket.dev
