Oncology Field Medical Director, Thoracic (non-MD)

Pfizer seeks a field-based scientific expert to support thoracic oncology medical strategy across Michigan and Ohio. The role involves delivering scientific education to healthcare professionals, identifying clinical trial sites, and generating field insights to inform medical strategy and improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute medical strategy and engagement for assigned customer segments in territory
• Deliver approved medical education and scientific content to healthcare professionals
• Identify potential clinical trial sites and support trial enrollment efforts
• Lead advisory boards and manage inbound medical inquiries from healthcare providers
• Generate actionable field insights on patient needs, treatment patterns, and unmet data needs to inform strategy

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in health science required
• PharmD, PhD, or equivalent terminal doctoral degree highly preferred
• 6+ years experience (PharmD/PhD), 8+ years (MBA/MSc), or 10+ years (BA/BSc)
• Current residence in Michigan or Ohio territory
• Recognized subject matter expert in oncology or relevant therapeutic area
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and work in matrixed teams
