Position Overview

We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care in a Critical Access Hospital. The therapist will assess patients, support prescribed respiratory treatments, monitor responses to interventions, and respond to occasional evening call-ins.

Required Qualifications

• Respiratory Therapist credential; exact credential requirements to be confirmed with the facility.

• Availability to work either five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts per week.

• Availability for evening call on scheduled workdays.

• Ability to respond to occasional call-ins.

• Ability to provide respiratory care in a Critical Access Hospital setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a Critical Access Hospital or similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services to hospital patients.

• Assess patients’ respiratory status and support prescribed respiratory treatments.

• Monitor patient responses to respiratory interventions and report concerns to the clinical team.

• Respond to evening call-ins as required.

• Maintain accurate patient care documentation.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

• Follow hospital safety, infection-control, and respiratory care protocols.
