In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable software solutions that support JLL's digital workplace platforms. You will work closely with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features while contributing to long-term code health and technical excellence. As a senior member of the team, you will also provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and drive architectural decisions that shape our platform's future.Key ResponsibilitiesSoftware Development & ArchitectureDesign and develop full-stack applications using modern web technologies and cloud-native architecturesLead technical design discussions and make architectural decisions for complex features and systemsWrite clean, testable, and maintainable code with comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end testsEstablish and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and best practices across the teamCollaboration & LeadershipCollaborate with product and design teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutionsMentor and guide junior engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharingParticipate actively in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and drive continuous improvement initiativesChampion "shift-left" quality practices by embedding testing early in the development lifecycleOperations & QualityTroubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex production issues in a timely mannerDrive operational excellence through monitoring, observability, and proactive system health managementContribute to comprehensive technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the engineering teamEnsure adherence to JLL's security, compliance, and operational standardsInnovation & ImprovementEvaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and frameworks that enhance team productivityLead technical initiatives that improve system performance, scalability, and maintainabilityFoster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the engineering teamRequired QualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)5–8 years of professional software development experience with demonstrated technical leadershipTechnical SkillsExpertise in at least one backend language (C#, Node.js, Python, Java) and one modern frontend framework (Angular, React, Next.js, Vue.js)Strong experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs, microservices architectures, and event-driven systemsProficiency with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cosmos DB)Hands-on experience with Databricks platform including Python, PySpark, Spark SQL, and building scalable data pipelinesAdvanced Power BI development skills including DAX, Power Query, custom visualizations, and embedded dashboard creationDeep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (Git), and DevOps practicesStrong experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) including infrastructure as code, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless architecturesExperience integrating AI agents and AI/ML capabilities into production applicationsSoft Skills & Work StyleProven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor junior team membersExcellent problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to debugging and root cause analysisStrong communication skills with ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, distributed team environment across multiple time zonesDemonstrated attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, production-ready codePreferred QualificationsExperience with test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD)Familiarity with Azure services such as Azure Functions, App Services, Service Bus, Event Grid, and Azure AI servicesKnowledge of security best practices including authentication, authorization, data encryption, and vulnerability managementExperience with performance optimization, scalability patterns, and system observability toolsContributions to open-source projects or active participation in technical communitiesUnderstanding of commercial real estate, facility management, or workplace experience domainsWhy Join JLL?Be part of a global leader in real estate and facility services with a strong digital transformation agendaWork on impactful products that shape the future of workplace experienceCollaborate with diverse, international teams across time zonesAccess to professional development, mentorship, and career growth opportunitiesThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
