Corporate Facilitator for English as a Second Language (ESL) and/or Conversational Spanish

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

Rowan College at Burlington County is seeking a dedicated and experienced Corporate Facilitator experienced teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) or Conversational Spanish for the workplace. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive language training to employees in various corporate settings, enhancing communication skills, promoting cultural understanding, and supporting language proficiency to foster a more inclusive and diverse workforce.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct training sessions from a pre‑approved curriculum incorporating examples related to the client’s business. Utilize effective teaching methodologies and resources to engage learners and facilitate language acquisition. Conduct pre‑ and post‑assessment of language proficiency to identify learning requirements and measure progress. Promote cultural sensitivity and awareness, helping employees navigate cultural differences respectfully. Maintain accurate records of sessions, attendance, pre‑ and post‑tests, and course evaluations. Gather participant feedback, stay updated on language teaching trends, and adjust methodologies accordingly. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to language training and cultural diversity.

OVERALL PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITY

The primary and most important overall responsibility is to provide service in a pleasant, helpful, and effective manner to students and other members of the College community.

EDUCATION REQUIRED

Bachelor's degree required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

3 or more years teaching ESL or Spanish language classes.

Excellent spoken and written communication skills. Effective listening skills. Creative ideas for delivering practical and interesting lessons. Excellent planning and organization skills. Friendly and confident manner. Ability to work well under pressure. Flexible approach to work. Cultural sensitivity, tolerance, and patience. Proficiency in both English and Spanish. Previous experience as a Corporate Trainer is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Aware of cultural sensitivity issues. Ability to adapt to different corporate environments and audiences.

INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS
