EMT Student Continuous Recruitment Academy Class
$18.21 per hourMohawk Ambulance Service
**Mohawk is currently only offering ** Academy style EMT-B Courses, which run for approximately 7-8 weeks and meet Monday through Friday, 9am to 4pm. The next academy class tentatively starts in March 2024.
Mohawk offers two enrollment methods:
- Students can participate in Mohawk's EMT Educational Assistance Program. Students who participate in the program receive a $562.50 per week stipend, and the class, textbook, CPR card, and other materials are FREE. Students who participate must commit to work for Mohawk Ambulance for a 1-year period beginning after the student graduates, becomes NYS certified and clears new-hire field orientation. The current full-time, driver qualified EMT pay rate is $18.21.
- Or students can pay for the EMT course in full, $2,750.00, at the beginning of the course.
Preference in the EMT Educational Assistance Program is given to prospective full-time employees, who are eligible to driver train, and are available on nights and weekends.

The recruitment process for this position includes an academic skills assessment due to the accelerated pace of study for the position. Applicants will complete this assessment via Test Gorilla (link will be sent out). The Recruiting team will then contact candidates for interviews.
