Patient Access Coordinator
$23 - $25 per hourAxelon
Pay Rate: $23 to $25 Per Hour Summary:
- Minimum of a high school education or equivalent required
- Work requires ability to effectively speak, read, and write English
- Interact appropriately with nursing staff, patients, families/visitors, physicians, and other hospital staff
- Access and enter computerized data/information
- Use and troubleshoot basic office equipment
- Minimum two years of relevant experience in admitting, medical office, managed care, insurance, or customer service environment
- Ability to accurately interpret and utilize medical terminology and abbreviations
- Demonstrated competence in basic computer skills
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Organizational skills to set priorities and efficiently complete assigned work
- Ability to apply basic secretarial skills, e.g., typing, filing, telephone skills
- Ability to multitask and manage complex processes
- Ability to make independent decisions under pressure
- Requires judgment, diplomacy, collaboration, and teamwork
- Multilingual skills beyond English are a plus
