The Hotel Front Desk Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring guests have a smooth and welcoming experience from arrival to departure. As a key member of the front desk team, the clerk manages reservations, handles check-ins and check-outs, and collaborates closely with other hotel departments to maintain seamless operations. This position requires strong customer service skills, multitasking abilities, and proficiency with hospitality management software.

Responsibilities

• Manage guest check-in and check-out procedures efficiently
• Handle reservations using basic and advanced property management systems, including Opera
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve guest complaints promptly
• Assign rooms and manage billing and payments accurately
• Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records
• Answer phone inquiries and coordinate regularly with other hotel departments
• Work various shifts including weekends, holidays, nights, and night audit

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in hospitality or front desk operations
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Proficient in cash handling and billing procedures
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
• Problem-solving skills to address guest concerns
