Senior Finance Manager

Senior Manager, Finance Strategy & BizOps | Pre-IPO Transportation Tech | Hybrid A rapidly growing, well-capitalized company is looking for a Senior Manager, Finance Strategy & BizOps to join its finance team. This newly created role will partner closely with senior finance and business leaders on strategic planning, financial analysis, and high-priority initiatives across the organization. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys using data and financial analysis to help shape business decisions rather than focusing solely on traditional forecasting and reporting. Reporting to the VP of Finance, this person will work across a broad range of strategic and operational initiatives, helping leadership evaluate opportunities, understand tradeoffs, allocate resources effectively, and improve overall business performance. The role will have significant exposure to senior leadership and will work closely with stakeholders across the organization. The company is based in New York City and operates on a hybrid work schedule, approximately 3 days per week in the office. Responsibilities: Partner with senior finance and business leaders to evaluate strategic initiatives, investments, and other complex business decisions through financial analysis and scenario modeling Serve as a strategic partner to cross-functional teams, translating business activity and performance into actionable insights and recommendations Develop financial models, business cases, and analyses to evaluate growth opportunities, resource allocation, operational initiatives, and other company priorities Identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency, and overall business performance through thoughtful analysis of costs, investments, and operating decisions Support strategic planning by evaluating different scenarios, identifying key drivers, and helping leadership understand the financial implications of important decisions Work collaboratively with teams across the organization to establish performance metrics, evaluate results, and identify opportunities for improvement Take ownership of high-priority strategic projects and analyses for senior finance leadership, often working on initiatives with significant visibility across the organization Communicate complex financial and operational analysis clearly to senior stakeholders and translate findings into practical recommendations Requirements: 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally beginning in investment banking, management consulting, transaction advisory, or a similarly analytical environment before moving into an in-house strategic finance, business strategy, or BizOps role Experience in strategic finance, business operations, corporate strategy, or a related function within a growth-oriented organization Demonstrated ability to partner with business leaders and use financial analysis to influence strategic or operational decisions Strong financial modeling and scenario analysis skills, with the ability to evaluate ambiguous problems and develop thoughtful recommendations Experience assessing business performance, profitability, investments, resource allocation, or other strategic initiatives Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and levels of an organization Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with significant ownership and exposure to senior leadership The above salary range represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible base compensation range at the time of posting and is not reflective of the total compensation package, which may also include benefits, equity and other non-cash incentives. #J-18808-Ljbffr
