Appointment Length Regular Continuous/Until Further Notice Hiring Range $38,000 - $45,000 About This Position GENERAL SUMMARY: Assists the Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships with the administration of all student financial aid programs. Provides counseling, information, and customer service to students, parents, faculty, staff, and administration regarding all types of student financial aid. Conducts on-campus and off-campus workshops and financial aid presentations to high schools, businesses, career day programs, departments, and divisions. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Education Bachelor's Degree in related discipline from an accredited college or university highly preferred. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered if relevant. Experience Evidences a history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior. Two years' experience in post-secondary financial aid office packaging and awarding Federal Title IV financial aid and scholarships; or equivalent experience working with federal regulations and programs. Two years of progressively responsible administrative or managerial experience. Experience utilizing federal financial aid application and student loan delivery systems including National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS), Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) SAR and ISIR files, Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG), EDconnect, Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) systems. Licensure/Certification Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses: Valid Oklahoma driver's license required if performing the functions of the position necessitates the use of a university or personal vehicle. Skills, Proficiencies, And/or Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Must be able to interact comfortably and effectively with a diverse client population. Must be able to relate effectively with members of student support units and contribute in a dynamic team environment that adheres to process-oriented, results driven strategies. Must be able to effectively contribute in a dynamic, team environment. A positive "can-do" attitude along with a professional appearance and demeanor should be modeled at all times. Must have a willingness to continually self-initiate learning to remain current in expertise. Should be able to quickly grasp and apply training in learning new skills and methods. Must be service oriented with ability to work and respond effectively to diverse audiences of internal and external clients. Strong organizational skills as well as a demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment along with ability to develop and deliver oral presentations and written materials for a variety of audiences and multiple venues. Must be flexible, innovative, and self-motivated. Communication Skills Strong verbal communication skills to include one-on-one, group presentation and facilitation skills are essential. Excellent written communication and listening skills and customer responsiveness are essential.
