Job Description
ROLE - SPECIALTY

Schedule
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend

Assignment Details
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36-48 hours/week options available

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience
- NC or Compact license pending acceptable for submittal
- Required: BCLS (BLS)
- Preferred: ACLS, NIHSS
- Basic renal-care knowledge (pre/post dialysis, renal failure)
- Telemetry care and monitoring experience
- Familiarity with EKG lead placement and ZOLL usage

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a telemetry unit.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data and manage dysrhythmias.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate patient care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety.
- Educate patients and families regarding care plans and health maintenance.
- Document all patient interactions and updates in the EMR system.

Compliance / Notes
- Candidate must pass EKG testing prior to start.
- Candidate must go to lab within 48 hours after signing; all required testing must be completed within 48 hours.
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed); COVID-19 vaccine not required.
- Orientation: 24 hours (2 shifts with preceptor + EMR education).
