Radiology Technologist

* Position: Radiologic Technologist

Sign on Bonus: $1,000

* Location: Highland Park Hospital

* Full Time/Part Time/Per Diem: PRN/Registry

* Hours: As needed/PMs - Midnights and Weekends

*Per Diem Commitment Level: Per Diem Level 1: 32-72 hrs. or Per Diem Level 2: 73-110 hrs. or Per Diem Level 3: 111-144 hrs./ per 6-week schedule

* Required Travel: No

What you will do:

• Prepare patients for exam: obtain and record history, explain procedures, position patients and ensure their comfort
• Perform radiographic exams
• Review radiographs to ensure optimum quality
• Complete and submit information and images to RIS in a timely manner
• Consistently works independently and operates all equipment with minimal assistance to performance procedures
• Check supplies/stocks room and maintains general cleanliness in department
• Assists in printing films and retrieval of reports
• May be required to work at other NorthShore off-site facilities to accommodate internal/external customers past schedules hours
• Reports environmental/equipment problems to appropriate resource personnel

What you will need:

* Education: Certificate of completion or Associate's degree from an accredited radiology program

* Certification: CPRcertification required. ARRT required within 2 year of employment

* License: IEMA licensing required

* Experience: Previous radiology experience preferred

* Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills required
