Monadnock Family Services (MFS) is looking for a Chief Program Officer (CPO) with operational and health system transformation experience to join our C-suite. Monadnock Family Servies is a non-profit Community Mental Health Center serving the Monadnock region in southwestern New Hampshire. Established in 1905, MFS is among the oldest behavioral health organizations in New England and is the oldest in New Hampshire. In collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the CPO will be responsible for leading the adoption of MFS's short- and long-term strategic direction, developing process improvement efforts to optimize access to high-quality care, championing a positive work culture, growing new leaders, and ensuring operational readiness for Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) certification. The CPO also serves as the executive operational lead for the New Hampshire Rural Health Transformation Program (GO NORTH initiative), directing implementation of grant initiatives, ensuring timely achievement of grant objectives and performance measures, ensuring organizational compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory standards, and supporting the organization's transition to the CCBHC model of care.

You will be working with the executive team to ensure that our operations drive forward the mission, goals, vision, and financial sustainability of MFS. Success in this position requires a results-driven approach; effective use of Six Sigma, Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), or similar principles; high-level skill in program-, change-, and lean- management; familiarity with electronic health record informatics and data analytics; and strong leadership skills.

Key Duties

• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, inclusion, quality improvement, continuous learning, and employee engagement.

• Oversee operational performance metrics and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to access, productivity, quality, financial performance, and patient outcomes.

• Lead process improvement and change management initiatives utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous quality improvement methodologies.

• Shared responsibility to ensure compliance with all federal, state, accreditation, payer, and regulatory requirements.

• Provide executive oversight for MFS's GO NORTH initiative and ensure successful implementation of all grant-funded initiatives: Co-Lead organizational operational readiness for CCBHC implementation and certification; Co-Lead the development of new programs, workflows, and service delivery models to expand access to care in identified high-need, rural communities in alignment with the community needs assessment and CCBHC requirements; Develop collaborative partnerships that strengthen behavioral health access and integrated care; Provide high-level oversight of information systems modernization related to GO NORTH initiatives; Ensure expenditures follow GO NORTH contractual obligations, scope of work, and compliance with Uniform Guidance in partnership with CFO; Shared responsibility for monitoring budgets, resource allocation, and project-related expenditures; Shared responsibility to pro-actively assess and forecast grant balances and recommend budget reclassifications as necessary to ensure responsible utilization of funds available being mindful to avoid waste, misuse, and abuse.

• Co-leadership of Finance Department with CFO and Director of Business Operations. The CPO is responsible for the following financial oversight: organizational expenditures, accounts payable, and grant billing and compliance

• MATCH

• Child Impact

• Residential: Emerald House (10-bed;1002/Community-based residential services) and The Lodge (supported housing; 6-8 beds)
