Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a dedicated Operating Room (OR) RN for an upcoming travel assignment. The role involves providing specialized perioperative care in a fast-paced hospital environment, supporting various surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and assist with surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Circulate and scrub for a variety of OR cases including total joints, neuro, and robotic surgeries.
• Serve as a patient advocate, maintaining patient positioning and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure all supplies and equipment are prepared and functioning properly.
• Document perioperative care accurately in the EMR system.
• Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Alaska RN license.
• Demonstrate current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Possess at least 2 years of OR experience, including total joint, neuro, or robotic surgeries.
• Exhibit strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• Have experience functioning as a circulator and scrub nurse; CNOR certification preferred.
• Be comfortable working in a high-volume surgical environment with a positive attitude.
