About the Role
At Riskified, we succeed when our merchants succeed. As a Product Sales Specialist for Policy Protect, you'll be the go-to expert for helping US merchants stop policy abuse without punishing their good customers. Returns abuse, promo and coupon misuse, reseller activity and false refund claims quietly erode margin, and you'll show merchants exactly how much it's costing them and how Policy Protect gets it back. You'll partner with Account Executives and Account Managers across the region, leading the Policy Protect motion on their deals, with your bonus tied to a Policy Protect-specific quota.

What you'll be doing

Drive deal progression for Policy Protect on opportunities sourced by Account Executives and Account Managers, across new logos and Riskified's existing US merchant base.

Partner with Account Executives and Account Managers to identify merchants with policy abuse exposure and lead the product-specific portions of the sales cycle.

Run discovery on merchants' returns, refund, promotion and loyalty policies, and translate their pain into a clear business case and ROI story.

Deliver compelling Policy Protect demos and answer detailed questions from merchant stakeholders across Fraud, Loss Prevention, Customer Service, Ecommerce and Finance.

Scope and run proof-of-value analyses and pilots, defining success criteria up front and turning results into a path to contract.

Bring merchant feedback and competitive intelligence back to Product and Marketing to shape the roadmap and positioning.

Build and maintain Policy Protect enablement materials, including talk tracks, objection handling, case studies and FAQs, so the wider go-to-market team can sell it confidently.

Stay current on how policy abuse is evolving across retail, ecommerce and digital goods, and on the competitive landscape.

Qualifications

3-5+ years of experience in a quota-carrying or customer-facing commercial role such as Sales, Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering or Product Specialist, ideally in ecommerce, payments, fraud or loss prevention.

Familiarity with retail returns, refunds, promotions or loyalty programs; experience with policy abuse or loss prevention is a strong plus.

Proven ability to build a business case and sell value to multiple stakeholders, including senior leaders.

Enough technical fluency to discuss APIs, data flows and ecommerce architecture credibly, and willingness to go deeper quickly.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to make complex concepts clear and persuasive for non-technical audiences.

A proactive, curious mindset, comfortable working in an overlay model and managing several merchant engagements at once.

Based in the US, with willingness to travel occasionally for merchant and internal meetings.

This is an incentive-based role and a significant portion of compensation is based on performance against objectives. The base salary range for this position is $150,000_$170,000. This range is applicable to candidates who will perform the job either wholly, or in part, within New York City. Actual salary will be based on qualifications, competencies, and location.
