Drafter

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) is seeking a Drafter to create and modify Company drawings using CAD software from sketches, vendor data, drawing templates, verbal instructions, and notes provided by engineering. This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days a week in office. What You’ll Do: Develop physical, schematic, and wiring drawings with CAD software from sketches, vendor data, drawing templates, verbal instructions, and notes provided by engineering. Develop CAD drawings for fabricated parts and assemblies for construction, including bill of material and notes. Understand and apply industry drawing standards. Follow division drafting procedures and work instructions. Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to design and detail components and systems. Participate in design problem resolution. Identify and select appropriate components for assembly drawings from the Company's MRP system and vendor catalogs. Assist engineers with design reviews. Maintain design project schedules. Track and report on project status. What You’ll Bring: High school diploma and completion of certified drafting training program with 3 years of drafting experience in an industrial setting or equivalent education and experience. Intermediate knowledge of 3D drawing systems and techniques. Intermediate knowledge of industry standards for drawings. Intermediate interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to read and create technical drawings, blueprints, schematics and material. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deliverable deadlines.
