Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro in San Pedro, CA. This position is full-time and will work 8-hour, Day shifts. The Transfusion Medicine Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist monitors the day-to-day operations of the Transfusion Service Section of the Transfusion Medicine Division; ensures that all procedures are performed as defined in the section policy and procedure manuals as approved by the Transfusion Medicine Medical Director; oversees all Transfusion Service Clinical Laboratory Scientists, students and ancillary personnel within the department; performs all duties of a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. • Bachelor’s Degree related health science field.
• Upon hire: California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License California, or
• Upon hire: California Clinical Chemist Scientist License, or
• Upon hire: California Clinical Immunohematologist Scientist License, or
• Upon hire: California Clinical Microbiologist Scientist License, or
• Upon hire: California Clinical Toxicologist Scientist License, or
• Upon hire: California Clinical Cytogeneticist Scientist License, or
• Upon hire: California Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist License,

or

• Upon hire: California Clinical Hematology Scientist License, or
• Upon hire: California Clinical Histocompatibility Scientist License, or
• Upon hire: California Clinical Laboratory Scientist Biochemistry Special

License

• 1 year experience in a hospital laboratory in area of responsibility.
• 4 years must meet CLIA requirements for testing personnel, moderate to high

complexity tests: experience in respective specialty. Preferred Qualifications:

• Upon hire: MT (ASCP) SBB or equivalent certification
• Experience with Sunquest Information System.
