Jack in the Box Assistant Manager: Store 5394 Moreno Valley, CA 92555 - $20.00 - $24.00 / hour - full time Job Description Description Responsible for managing restaurant operations, in conjunction with or in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. Uses discretion in daily management decisions with accountability for ensuring effective execution of the Service Profit Chain (SPC) and Brand Promise. Primary responsibilities are to provide excellent internal service, external service, and to build restaurant sales and profit while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Key Duties / Responsibilities Internal Service : Recruits, selects, trains, develops, and evaluates restaurant employees. Monitors staffing levels to ensure sufficient development and talent, ensures training systems are fully implemented, identifies and develops internal candidates for management positions, and works with the team to execute the "My Promise to You" and the Service Profit Chain. External Service : Manages daily activities to achieve excellence in restaurant operational performance, ensures guests receive an exceptional experience, monitors adherence with all JIB systems, procedures, and food safety requirements, and responds to guest concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner. Higher Profits : Partners with the Restaurant Manager to analyze operational and financial performance, identifies trends, consults on action plans, and develops plans to increase sales and profitability while maintaining brand standards and adhering to budget and goals. Performs other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required, assigned, and directed. Qualifications Education : High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience : Internal Promote: Minimum 1 year as a Shift Leader or 1 year in an Assistant Manager role. External Recruit: Minimum 3 years as an Assistant Manager with some P&L responsibility. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities : Must be at least 18 years old, complete Assistant Manager training, ServSafe certified, speak, read, and write effectively in English, possess strong interpersonal, analytical, basic math, organizational, and planning skills, a valid driver’s license, appropriate insurance, and use a personal vehicle for bank deposits and travel. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk approximately 85%–95% of shift; lift and carry 10–65 lbs; move freely throughout the restaurant; operate restaurant equipment; drive a motor vehicle; and use a computer keyboard.
