Machine Operator Helper

The Machine Operator Helper supports daily production by assisting machine operators with material handling, equipment operation, and quality checks. This role focuses on feeding materials into machines, verifying product measurements, and maintaining a safe and efficient manufacturing process within a production facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist machine operators with day-to-day production activities on the manufacturing floor.
• Feed raw materials into production machines in a safe, accurate, and timely manner.
• Verify the quantity of finished products to ensure production orders are completed correctly.
• Measure the length of the final product using a tape measure to confirm it meets specifications.
• Support basic machine operation tasks under the direction of the machine operator.
• Help monitor production flow and promptly report any issues or irregularities to the machine operator or supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient operations.
• Follow all safety procedures and manufacturing guidelines while working around machinery.
• Participate in required testing or assessments, including a tape measure test, to demonstrate measurement skills.

Essential Skills

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating manufacturing machinery or assisting with machine operations.
• Ability to accurately use a tape measure and pass a tape measure test.
• Basic understanding of production processes and material handling.
• Ability to follow instructions and work closely with machine operators.
• Strong attention to detail when measuring and verifying product quantity and length.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in Spanish is highly beneficial to support primarily Spanish-speaking machine operators.
• Willingness to learn and develop additional machine operation skills over time.
• Reliability and punctuality to support consistent production schedules.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing facility and involves working around production machinery and equipment. The position follows a daytime shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. You will spend most of the day on your feet, handling materials, assisting with machine operations, and performing measurements with a tape measure. The environment is production-focused, with a need to follow safety procedures and remain attentive to equipment and workflow. Standard industrial work attire and appropriate safety gear are expected in this setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Temple Terrace, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
