General Laborer

Triumph Foods, LLC (Triumph) is a leader in the Pork Industry, and is recognized as a top exporter of premium pork products worldwide. The Company began operations in 2006, in Saint Joseph, MO, and is producer owned. Triumph's state-of-the-art facility processes in excess of 6 million hogs each year, and features the latest food quality, safety innovations, and humane handling practices in the industry. The Company prides itself on producing the highest quality pork products found in the market today. This position is responsible for entry level non-skilled labor, while conforming to company standards for safety, attendance, and personal conduct. This position is full of repetitive motions for up to 10 hours a day for 6 days a week. Working conditions can range from the cold side at 28 degrees and damp to the kill side at 100 degrees and humid. These jobs require the use of a knife or other hand tool. Applicants will be considered for any general laborer role such as Kill Floor or Cut/Conversion. Applicants that meet the minimum requirements for consideration may be contacted for an interview. Qualified applicants will have a minimum of 6 months of continuous work experience in the previous year. Work history must represent gainful employment, and must be verifiable. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to move about the facility. The employee is required to sit; use hands to finger; handle; or feel/hold objects; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; speak; hear taste and smell. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to climb ladders and platforms, and enter confined spaces and wear all safety equipment. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds or more. Regularly exposed to cold/hot and/or humid conditions, climate extremes are found in all areas of the plant Frequently works near machinery with moving parts and vibration Regularly exposed to strong odors and the sight of blood Regular Exposure to cleaning and sanitation chemicals, hazardous material and waste as well as fumes or airborne particles Risk of electrical shock and vibration Noise level in the work environment is moderate but can be loud when in the production area Applications submitted that are incomplete or do not reflect education, skills & abilities within the stated minimum qualifications will not be considered in the application process.
