Overview The bDivision of Otolaryngologyb at bChildren’s Mercy Kansas Cityb is seeking a bpediatric otolaryngology surgeonb with bfellowship training in advanced otology or neurotologyb, extensive experience in bpediatric otologyb, or a bstrong interest in pediatric otologyb to join our dynamic team. About the Role The selected candidate will have an bactive clinical and surgical practiceb, as well as opportunities to teach btolaryngology residents and fellowsb. Additionally, they will play a key role in the bComprehensive Otology and Hearing Programb, with clinical opportunities that include: Hearing loss and implantable devices, including bcochlear implantationb Chronic ear disease, bcholesteatomab, and bendoscopic ear surgeryb Balance disorders and blateral skull base surgeryb Future plans include: bDevelopment of an advanced pediatric otology fellowshipb bEstablishment of a state-of-the-art Temporal Bone and Lateral Skull Base Dissection Laboratoryb at the bChildren’s Mercy Research Institute (CMRI)b to support clinical advancements, educational training, and research initiatives bOpportunities for a mentored otology experienceb for interested candidates Academic & Research Opportunities Candidates with research interests will receive strong institutional support from bCMRIb, a cutting-edge research facility dedicated to bgenomic medicine, precision therapeutics, population health, and healthcare innovationb. The division hosts a bComplex Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowshipb and provides training for browtating otolaryngology residents from the bUniversity of Kansas (PGY 1-5)b.
