Position Summary
The Behavior Technician is responsible for delivering one-on-one therapy services to children with autism. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, the Behavior Technician will encourage, support, and challenge these children to reach new milestones by teaching new skill acquisition and behavior modification.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Works 1:1 with a child in performing therapy, following the guidance in the behavior treatment plan and under the direction of a supervising clinician.
- Ensures all billing is submitted in a timely fashion and the documentation accurately supports the services rendered.
- Updates working availability in the EMR platform and communicates availability changes with their Client Advocate.
- Communicates regularly with Client Advocate and Supervisor as it relates to assigned client(s).
- Complies with and follows the BACB code of ethics as it relates to service delivery and professionalism.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications
- 18 years old with a HS Diploma or GED.
- Passion for working with children, especially those with neuro-divergent behaviors.
- Minimum 1 year working with children.
- Reliable transportation.
- Completion of 40 hour Registered Behavior Technician training. If training has not been previously completed, training will be provided by Powerback Pediatrics.
- Willingness to obtain RBT certification through BACB.
Posted Salary Range USD $22.00 - USD $22.00 /Hr.
