Registered Nurse - OR

This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards. The Registered Nurse in the OR is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered and utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills to assess, plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning.
• Formulate and implement a plan of care in collaboration with the health care team.
• Provide care based on physician orders and nursing plans in compliance with policies and procedures.
• Evaluate the patient's response to care and revise the plan as necessary.
• Document assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely.
• Participate in the education and orientation of new staff, patients, and families.
• Contribute to the improvement of national nursing quality indicators and outcomes.
• May provide relief charge for staff and workflow of the department.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing required.
• Current, valid RN license in state of practice (or compact RN licensure).
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum one year of licensed RN experience in OR or two years of licensed RN experience in OR for PRN positions.
• PALS certification required within 90 days of assignment, if assigned to pediatric services.
• Additional experience in OR or perioperative nursing is preferred.

Schedule

This position is for a contract duration from August 17, 2026, to October 1, 2026.
