Fire Alarm Technician

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Fire Alarm Systems Technician to support the programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and installation of commercial fire alarm systems in Albany and New Windsor, NY. This role works closely with project teams, engineering, sales, AHJs, and customers to ensure successful project delivery from startup through final acceptance. Key Responsibilities Program, commission, test, and troubleshoot complex fire alarm systems. Conduct field surveys, inspections, and maintain project documentation. Coordinate system testing and final acceptance with AHJs and customers. Review fire alarm drawings, smoke control reports, and system layouts. Diagnose and resolve advanced system, circuit, and equipment issues. Support project execution by coordinating with engineering, project management, and field teams. Train and mentor junior technicians. Manage inventory, job scheduling, safety compliance, and project quality. Demonstrate system operation and provide customer training. Required Qualifications 1-5+ years of fire alarm installation, service, or commissioning experience. Experience programming and troubleshooting commercial fire alarm systems. Ability to read fire alarm drawings, schematics, and smoke control reports. Strong knowledge of fire alarm circuits, devices, and system components. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects. Knowledge of NFPA standards and state fire code requirements. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and lift up to 50 lbs. Preferred Qualifications OSHA 10 certification. Experience leading projects and mentoring technicians. #J-18808-Ljbffr
