Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Caretel Inns Brighton, a skilled nursing facility committed to providing high-quality care to our residents. The Housekeeping Supervisor will oversee the housekeeping team, ensuring that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition. This role requires leadership skills, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents and staff through exceptional environmental services. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and lead housekeeping staff, ensuring tasks are completed according to established cleaning schedules and standards. Train and mentor housekeeping team members in proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and infection control procedures. Conduct regular inspections of resident rooms, common areas, and administrative spaces to ensure cleanliness and compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with nursing and maintenance staff to address any cleanliness or facility maintenance issues. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring the safe and efficient use of materials. Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and ensure that all staff adhere to company policies and procedures. Assist with the development and implementation of housekeeping procedures and schedules to optimize workflow and efficiency. Ensure that all cleaning activities meet infection control standards and state/federal regulatory requirements. Report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel. Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with residents, families, and other team members. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in environmental services or healthcare-related fields preferred. Proven experience in housekeeping or environmental services, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting. Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, equipment, and techniques. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage, train, and motivate a team. Ability to follow safety guidelines and infection control protocols. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
