Specimen Processor I

Position Title: Specimen Processor Location: Dublin, OH 43017 Duration: 3 months - Contract to Possible Hire Shift: Tuesday - Saturday | 4:00 AM - 12:30 PM | Full-Time Shift Differential: 15% applies after start date Job Description The primary function of the Specimen Processor is to support laboratory operations by performing specimen sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced laboratory environment. This position will be responsible for accurately processing and organizing specimens while maintaining quality and attention to detail. Responsibilities - Sort and process laboratory specimens accurately and efficiently. - Perform data entry related to specimen processing and laboratory testing. - Organize and prepare specimens for further laboratory processing. - Ensure accurate handling and identification of specimens. - Maintain accurate records and documentation related to specimen processing. - Follow established laboratory procedures and safety protocols. - Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy. - Collaborate with team members to support daily laboratory operations. - Provide support for additional laboratory tasks as assigned. - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. - May work overtime based on business needs. Required Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED. - Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. - Strong data entry skills. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy. - Ability to work effectively in a team environment. - Good organizational and time-management skills. - Ability to follow established procedures and instructions. Preferred Qualifications - Previous laboratory or healthcare experience. - Previous specimen processing experience. - Experience with data entry or clerical work. - Familiarity with laboratory workflows and procedures. Additional Information - Full-time contract position with possible conversion to a permanent LabCorp position based on performance and business needs. - No travel required. - Possible overtime may be required. - Fast-paced laboratory environment requiring strong attention to detail, accuracy, and teamwork. - Candidates should be comfortable with the potential for conversion to a permanent position.
