Registered Nurse (RN)

As a Registered Nurse (RN) at our Skilled Nursing Facility, you will play a crucial role in delivering patient-centered care to our residents. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' health status, including physical and psychological needs, and develop individualized care plans.
  • Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor residents' responses to ensure their well-being.
  • Wound Care: Provide wound care and manage skin integrity, documenting any changes or concerns.
  • Monitoring: Continuously monitor residents' vital signs, report any abnormalities, and take appropriate action as needed.
  • Patient Education: Educate residents and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care and support to residents.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting all care provided and any changes in residents' conditions.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to medical emergencies, follow established protocols, and provide life-saving interventions when necessary.
  • Infection Control: Implement infection control measures to prevent the spread of diseases within the facility.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall care provided within the facility.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice.
  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, preferably in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting.
  • CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing nursing care in long-term care facilities.
