Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Mainframe Developer for one of our large financial clients in a variety of markets. This position will respond to technical questions from clients regarding all aspects of the scheduling software and its capabilities. Must be able to apply database changes with a high degree of accuracy in desired timeframes using established Release Management approval, deployment tools, and best practices. Must ascertain through research and knowledge the scope of issues and understand the impact while deciding and taking corrective actions in high risk circumstances. This position will review and test new releases and enhancements of the software code in order to verify advertised functionality. Additionally this position typically investigates and implements new functionality into production and performs related project work. The incumbent is charged with having a detailed knowledge of all uses of the automated scheduler in the host and agent environments and will be required to support instances of the software in development (IDE) and QA environments. Additionally this position will be tasked with supporting a number of in-house tools such as Corpcal, PODS, and Universal Rates Repository. This position will be required to provide 24x7 support. This position will review and test new releases and enhancements of the software code in order to verify advertised functionality. Additionally this position typically investigates and implements new functionality into production and performs related project work. Skills and Requirements

2-5 years of hands on Mainframe experience

Experience with JCL and REXX for scripting

Previous experience scheduling/administering/supporting TWS job scheduling tool TWS experience

CA-7 or Control M experience
