A Personal Care Specialist is a driving position requiring travel throughout Franklin and surrounding counties. This is a full-time position with hours of 8:00am-4:30pm with a weekend and holiday rotation. We provide superior care and superior services to patients at their end of life journey. Only those who have a heart for hospice will succeed.

The Personal Care Specialist's essential duties are:

Our CNAs are titled "Personal Care Specialist" because they are valued for their expertise in taking care of the patient's personal needs with dignity, compassion and empathy. You could become a Personal Care Specialist that provides quality nursing assistance to patients, assists the family with the care of the patient and works with a team that relies on your input from the close relationship you develop with the patient.

Qualifications for the Personal Care Specialist:

• High school diploma or GED;
• Certified State Tested Nursing Assistant with the State of Ohio without any board actions preferred
• One year of experience preferred;
• Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (CHPNA) preferred and will be made available to Ohio's Hospice employees who wish to obtain it.
• Computer skills sufficient to properly document services and care.
• Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime or inclement weather.
• Valid Driver's license with Safe Driving Record.
• State minimum automobile insurance coverage.
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must be able to pass a 10 panel drug screen
