Our Design Build Transportation practice is experiencing exciting growth and now is a great time to explore a new career with us!As a Deputy Design Manager, you'll support the delivery of complex transportation projects across the East Region, helping clients achieve successful outcomes through design-build and other alternative delivery methods. You'll work alongside experienced project leaders and technical experts while building your leadership skills on some of the industry's most impactful transportation programs.In this role, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and stakeholders to help deliver high-quality transportation solutions from pursuit through project completion. This is an excellent opportunity for a transportation professional looking to take the next step toward a Design Manager role while gaining exposure to large-scale infrastructure projects, business development, project delivery, and team leadership.What you'll doSupport the development of client relationships and assist with pursuits, qualifications packages, interviews, and business development activitiesPartner with project leadership and serve as a client contact on assigned projects to help ensure project objectives and client expectations are metSupport the delivery of large transportation projects utilizing design-build and other alternative delivery methods, including CM/GC and progressive design-buildCoordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders throughout project development and deliveryAssist in leading the development of designs, technical documentation, and project deliverablesHelp manage project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and delivery milestonesSupport proposal development, project planning, fee estimates, and resource coordinationProvide construction-phase support services, including responses to RFIs, submittal reviews, shop drawing reviews, construction modifications, and site visits, when applicableContribute to project quality efforts and support compliance with Jacobs' quality standards and project requirementsFoster an inclusive, collaborative team environment and support the growth and development of early career professionalsAssist with recruiting, team-building initiatives, and the continued growth of Jacobs' transportation practice across the East RegionHere's what you'll needBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering fieldProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseExperience delivering transportation infrastructure projects including project or program management experienceExperience working with multidisciplinary project teams and coordinating with clients, contractors, consultants, and stakeholdersExperience working on projects for state or local transportation agenciesFamiliarity with transportation project delivery, including design-build, construction support, or alternative delivery methodsKnowledge of applicable transportation design standards and industry practicesEffective verbal and written communication skills, including technical writingAbility and willingness to support transportation projects and pursuits across the East RegionIdeally, you'll also haveExperience supporting design-build transportation projectsDBIA certification or interest in pursuing certificationEstablished relationships within the transportation industryExperience mentoring, coaching, or supporting the development of team membersPosted Salary Range: Minimum $111,500.00 Posted Salary Range: Upper $195,100.00Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
