Patient Care Coordinator / Medical Receptionist / Rutherford, NJ
Contract Position | Full-Time
Our healthcare client is seeking a professional and dependable Patient Care Coordinator / Medical Receptionist to support a busy Internal Medicine practice in Rutherford, New Jersey. This role is ideal for candidates with medical front desk experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced patient care environment.
Position Details
- Location: Rutherford, NJ 07070
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Shift Options: Rotating shifts between:
- 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Weekend Requirement: Two weekends per month
- Contract Type: 6 - Month Contract
- Dress Code: Navy Scrubs
- Interview Process: In-person interview
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients
- Perform patient check-out procedures
- Answer and route incoming phone calls
- Manage incoming faxes and documentation
- Maintain and monitor Epic in-baskets
- Schedule appointments and update patient information
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors
- Support daily front office operations
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous medical front desk or healthcare reception experience preferred
- Experience working with Epic EMR is a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a busy healthcare environment
- Professional demeanor and reliable attendance
Preferred Experience
- Medical receptionist or patient registration experience
- Internal medicine or outpatient clinic experience
- Familiarity with insurance verification and scheduling systems
