Role Description The Staff Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Troy, MI. This position is responsible for performing daily accounting tasks, preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling bank and general ledger accounts, and assisting with month-end and year-end close activities. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, supporting budget preparation and variance analysis, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards. The Staff Accountant will work closely with finance and operations teams to provide timely financial information, assist with financial reporting, and support audits and other financial reviews. Qualifications Strong skills in general accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations. Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as intermediate Excel skills (e.g., spreadsheets, formulas, and data analysis). Ability to interpret financial data, support budgeting and forecasting, and assist with financial reporting and variance analysis. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners. Understanding of GAAP or relevant accounting standards and basic knowledge of tax and compliance requirements. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Experience in a distribution, manufacturing, or industrial environment, and familiarity with NDT or technical products, is beneficial. #J-18808-Ljbffr
