Per Diem Pharmacist in Vermillion, SD

A pharmacy is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacist to provide expert medication distribution and exceptional customer service in a retail and long-term care setting. This role involves accurately dispensing prescriptions and offering guidance to patients on the proper use of their medications, ensuring safe and effective treatment outcomes.


Location:

• Yankton, South Dakota

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Specific dates include Friday, March 20th, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, and Friday, April 24th through Friday, May 1st, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Distribute medications as prescribed by physicians and other authorized health practitioners
• Educate patients and customers regarding proper medication use, potential side effects, and safety precautions
• Deliver a superior level of customer service focused on patient care and satisfaction
• Maintain compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards

Qualifications:

• Valid South Dakota Pharmacist license required
• Experience in retail and/or long-term care pharmacy settings preferred
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Commitment to ethical pharmacy practices and patient confidentiality

This per diem position offers flexibility for pharmacists available to support on selected dates with the option for additional assignments.
