In the role of Commodity Manager, you'll play a pivotal part on our Supply Chain team. The Commodity Manager is responsible for the Commodity Strategy that will be or will have been established for assigned commodities in the Branch and will oversee a group of strategic suppliers that constitute the Safran Cabin supply base. This position contributes to our vision by: Responsible for the Commodity Strategy: For a defined list of commodities, establish the Commodity strategy with the full involvement of the other Operating Sites of the Branch, as applicable. Define the sourcing and supplier base strategy (Make or Buy, consolidation, reduction, development of new source). Report and communicate on a regular basis the strategy progress and outputs at the Branch and Divisions leadership levels. Consolidate all data related to the commodity from the Sites and stay abreast of innovations and technical evolutions to integrate into supplier management and contractual relationships. Build planning and KPI assessment related to the strategy; ensure follow-up of the strategy implementation at site level. Serve as the external and internal referent for commodities; consolidate data related to common Strategic Suppliers. Drive market analysis, outlooks, competition analysis, turnover evolution and dependency ratios from different sites for the Branch; gather and update supplier data. Monitor Operational Performance at each Site: On Time Deliveries (SOTD including VLD) and quality of deliveries (SNCR); consolidate annual Purchasing Performance and provide visibility for 3-year horizons. Lead with Supplier Development team the risk analysis, including mitigation plans; provide a consolidated picture before each Performance Review. Manage Suppliers Contractual Relationship: Prepares and processes Global RFQ, negotiates LTA and defines acceptable terms and conditions with support from Branch Contracts; obtain global sourcing approvals and contract sign-off; ensure contract provisions are applied and respected by Sites; twice per year consolidate forecast volumes and verify compliance; conduct annual capacity surveys with supplier forecasts across Branch Sites; trigger quality/capacity/process audits and countermeasures. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree. Experience: At least 8 years as Strategic Buyer or Manager, other Commodity Manager role or related function. Computer Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Other Skills: Strong knowledge of Purchasing Process and Supplier Quality Assurance; strong knowledge of technologies and processes of suppliers in their commodities; negotiation skills; good understanding of ERP systems; knowledge of legal management of business relationships; openness and listening skills; ability to focus on global optimization of results; fluent English; another European language is a plus. Expertise: Must know the market linked to the Commodity and understand its technical and technological aspects; act as a resource for less experienced Commodity Managers.
