About the Position

Job Title: RN ICU Profession: Nursing Specialty: Nursing Administration Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12hr Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 2 years ICU experience License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: CCRN preferred Description: Provide nursing care in the ICU setting. Engage with patients experiencing multi-system organ failure, DKA, sepsis, COPD, CHF, COVID-19, pneumonia, AKI, CKD, and cardiac conditions. Manage patients on ventilators and sedatives. Assist in the treatment of strokes and cardiac arrests. Deliver targeted temperature management as needed. Work with various advanced medical equipment including trachs, ventilators, BiPAP, chest tubes, arterial lines, Swan Ganz catheters, and cardiovascular support devices. Administer vasopressors, sedation, analgesia, and insulin drips. Demonstrate skills in wound care, balloon pumps, and Impella devices. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including other nursing staff, respiratory therapists, and medical providers. Utilize electronic health record systems for charting. Participate in a rotating schedule that includes weekend shifts every other week. Be prepared to float to other units based on staffing needs. Engage in professional development and maintain required competencies. Adhere to safety and quality standards in patient care.
